Through qualified contractors, our team provides project management for commercial storefront improvements by working with nonprofits and municipalities. We’ve also succeeded at securing funding to develop community programs; since 1998, team members have managed $20 million in funds to help more than 20 communities and 200 small businesses.

Background & Bio
Tom Litke opened DC Facades in 2012 in order to provide services to municipalities, nonprofits and small business owners. In 2020, services were expanded into Maryland. Before its incorporation, DC Facades was the Physical Improvement Division of DC-based company, The Wander Group, formed in 2002. Now, twenty years later, DC Facades LLC continues to serve as a Certified Business Enterprise within the District of Columbia. Its CBE# is LSZR81418012023.

As Principal, Tom Litke has coordinated hundreds of sign and façade improvements through all phases of design and construction. With a focus on community-based development, Tom has twenty years’ experience in project management, grant administration, historic preservation and small business assistance. During his career, he has led as Executive Director and Board President; written numerous grants and proposals totaling more than $10million in awards; formed more than a dozen nonprofits and programs; and redeveloped commercial and residential properties. In addition to DC Facades, Tom also manages a co-working space. His education includes degrees in business, historic preservation and humanities. He holds certificates in Construction Management, Community Preservation, and Housing Counseling. He is also a Certified Public Manager.
